Parameter estimation and signal reconstruction

چکیده

Abstract In frequency analysis an often appearing problem is the reconstruction of a signal from given samples. Since samples are usually noised, pure interpolating approaches not recommended and appropriate approximation methods more suitable as they can be interpreted kind denoising. Two widely used. One uses reflection coefficients finite sequence Szegő polynomials other one zeros so called Prony polynomial. We show that both closely related. As inverse problem, it’s surprising have in common depend very sensitive on sampling errors. use known properties to estimate positions corresponding Szegő- or Prony-like construct adaptive algorithms calculate these ones. Hereby, we get parameters exponential parts signal, too. Then, (as linear combination such functions) obtained system equations by minimizing residuals with respect norm

A Novel Joint Compressive Single Target Detection and Parameter Estimation in Radar without Signal Reconstruction

In this paper, a detector/estimator is proposed for compressed sensing radars, which does not need to reconstruct the radar signal, and which works directly from compressive measurements. More precisely, through direct processing of the measurements, and without the need for reconstructing the original radar signal, the system performs target detection, and then estimates range, Doppler frequen...

Probing quintessence: reconstruction and parameter estimation from supernovae

We explore the prospects for using future supernova observations to probe the dark energy. We focus on quintessence, an evolving scalar field that has been suggested as a candidate for the dark energy. After simulating the observations that would be expected from the proposed SuperNova / Acceleration Probe satellite (SNAP), we investigate two methods for extracting information about quintessenc...

Signal Model and Parameter Estimation for Colocated Mimo Radar

In this paper, we consider the signal model and parameter estimation for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar with colocated antennas on stationary platforms. Considering internal clutter motion, a closed form of the covariance matrix of the clutter signal is derived. Based on the proposed closed form and low rank property of the clutter covariance matrix and by using the singular value ...

Signal Detection and Parameter Estimation in Massive MIMO Systems

This book chapter reviews signal detection and parameter estimation techniques for multiuser multiple-antenna wireless systems with a very large number of antennas, known as massive multi-input multi-output (MIMO) systems. We consider both centralized antenna systems (CAS) and distributed antenna systems (DAS) architectures in which a large number of antenna elements are employed and focus on t...

Manifold-Based Signal Recovery and Parameter Estimation from Compressive Measurements

A field known as Compressive Sensing (CS) has recently emerged to help address the growing challenges of capturing and processing high-dimensional signals and data sets. CS exploits the surprising fact that the information contained in a sparse signal can be preserved in a small number of compressive (or random) linear measurements of that signal. Strong theoretical guarantees have been establi...
